Quarry in Kozy, Stone quarry in Kozy, Poland.

The quarry features vertical rock faces surrounding a small lake, displaying layers of Carpathian flysch formations in its natural state.

The quarry began operations between 1910 and 1912 under Marian Czecz ownership, employing 280 workers and using a 2510-meter cable car system.

Local mining traditions are preserved through educational programs that explain the geological significance of the quarry to visiting school groups.

Visitors can access the quarry through a green-marked trail established in 2021, which connects to the main mountain paths of PTTK network.

The quarry contains the largest exposure of Lgota layers in the entire Carpathian mountain range, spanning eight European countries.
