The school building features Renaissance-Baroque architectural elements with pavilion-style layout and decorative children sculptures above the windows.
Built between 1908 and 1913 by architect Fritz Teubner, the school complex originally consisted of three buildings at the intersection of Ziethen and Hardenberg streets.
In 1965, the school received the name 'Conquerors of Poznań Citadel' to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of post-war education resumption.
The educational facility contains modern sports facilities, specialized computer rooms, and expanded programs in information technology and foreign languages.
During the 1929 National General Exhibition, all school buildings served multiple purposes, marking a significant period in the institution's history.
