Argedava, Ancient Dacian settlement in Mihăilești, Romania.
The fortification measures 160 meters from north to south, 120 meters from east to west, with walls rising 20 meters high.
Archaeological evidence indicates continuous habitation from the 10th century BC through the 1st century AD, predating the establishment of Rome and Athens.
The site contains remains of a sanctuary with two chambers and a courtyard, along with numerous burned clay vessels bearing relief decorations.
The archaeological site requires extensive funding for continued excavations as soil accumulation has transformed its exterior appearance into a mound.
Twelve burial mounds were identified near the settlement, with four excavated tombs containing cremated remains of ancient warriors.
