Monumentul eroilor căzuți în primul război mondial

The monument features a bronze soldier in attack position mounted on a cubic concrete base covered with marble and decorated with bronze reliefs.

The memorial was erected in 1932 under mayor Constantin M. Brânzoi's initiative to commemorate local soldiers who died during World War I.

Three sides of the pedestal contain inscribed plaques listing the names of Orthodox soldiers from Dudești who gave their lives for democracy.

The monument stands at the intersection of Theodor Pallady Boulevard and Nicolae Grigorescu Boulevard in Sector 3 of Bucharest.

The sculpture was created by Romanian artist Spiridon Georgescu and includes a bronze bas-relief depicting hand-to-hand combat scenes.
