Uralsib, Banking skyscraper in Ufa, Russia
Uralsib is a modern office tower with 26 floors rising approximately 100 meters, featuring tinted glass panels and gray-brown exterior elements that form its distinctive profile. The building serves as the headquarters of Uralsib Financial Corporation in central Ufa.
The tower was built in 1999 as the first structure outside Moscow's Ring Road to exceed 100 meters in height. It held the title of Ufa's tallest building until 2018 when newer construction eventually surpassed it.
The building preserves a two-story red brick house from the early 20th century that once housed the Second Mariinsky Women's School. This historical structure remains visible within the modern tower's footprint.
The tower is located at 41 Revolyutsionnaya Street in the city center, making it easily accessible by public transportation. The surrounding area contains shops, cafes, and other city services within walking distance.
Local residents affectionately call the building 'mobile phone' or 'candle' because of its shape. The most striking feature appears each December when a large Santa Claus figure illuminates the rooftop.
