Свято-Троицкий монастырь

The Alexander Svirsky Trinity Monastery stands on the shore of Lake Roshchinskoye, consisting of two connected complexes: Trinity and Transfiguration sections.

Founded in the 15th century by Saint Alexander of Svir, the monastery developed in a remote forest area among Karelian, Vepsian, and Chud settlements.

The monastery preserves religious traditions through its churches, including the stone Pokrov Church built in 1533 and the Transfiguration Cathedral.

Visitors can access the monastery grounds and view church interiors outside of service times, with accommodation facilities available for extended stays.

The monastery holds the uncorrupted relics of Saint Alexander of Svir, which remained intact for over 500 years despite historical turmoil.
