The museum displays over 10,000 artifacts within the building of a former vodka factory, including traditional household items from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The museum opened on May 23, 2011, based on a private collection of everyday objects gathered by Mikhail Ivanovich Smerdov, a local entrepreneur and public figure.

The exhibition includes traditional Russian stoves, clay pots, shirts, sundresses, spindles, cast iron pots, spinning wheels, irons, chairs, wall clocks, and icons.

The museum organizes quests and excursions for tourists, schoolchildren, and kindergarten students throughout the year, with regular educational programs and workshops.

The museum holds a Russian record for its self-propelled samovar with a capacity of 415 liters, alongside a collection of over 300 traditional samovars.
