The museum houses an extensive collection of regional artifacts, documents, and photographs documenting the development of the Sverdlovsk Oblast region over time.
Founded in 1883, this museum has continuously gathered and preserved historical items throughout the Russian Empire, Soviet Union, and modern Russian Federation periods.
The exhibition halls display traditional clothing, merchant artifacts, and an Eastern collection that reflects the cultural exchanges in the Ural region.
Located at Kirova Street 50, the museum welcomes visitors from Tuesday through Saturday between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM with guided tours available.
The museum maintains original documents and objects from the notable Irbit Fair, which was the second largest trading event in the Russian Empire.
