Свято-Никольский храм, Orthodox church in Rakitnoye, Russia.
The Saint Nicholas Church is an Orthodox church built in late classicist style with a brick dome roughly 14 meters across. A separate bell tower stands beside the main structure, completing the architectural composition.
The church was commissioned by Prince Boris Yusupov in 1832 and built from brick. During the Soviet period, it was converted to serve as a grain storage facility before being restored to religious use.
The church houses 19th-century icons created by monks from Mount Athos, which remain central to worship here today. These works represent a spiritual link between this place and the great eastern monasteries.
The church is located on Kommunarov Street in Rakitnoye, set in a rural area. Visitors should check with the church administration beforehand to learn about visiting hours and access details.
The altar holds two reliquaries containing 24 fragments of saints, including remains of Saint Joasaph of Belgorod. This collection draws pilgrims from the surrounding region seeking spiritual veneration.
