Tombstone to V. E. Borisov-Musatov, Historic tomb site in Tarusa, Russia.
The granite monument features a sculptural composition of a sleeping boy resting on a rectangular pedestal near the Oka River bank.
The tomb was erected in 1910 by sculptor Alexander Matveev to honor painter Viktor Borisov-Musatov, who died in 1905 at age 35.
The site represents a federal cultural heritage monument where the remains of artist Borisov-Musatov and the Wulff family rest.
Visitors can find the monument on Musatovsky Hill, approximately 100 meters from the Tsvetaeva Stone in central Tarusa.
The sleeping boy sculpture symbolizes the premature departure of the young artist, who created numerous paintings depicting Russian estates.
