Boldino Museum, Federal cultural heritage site in Bolshoye Boldino, Russia
The museum complex includes a manor house, historical buildings, chapel, and an estate park spread across the grounds of Bolshoye Boldino village.
The estate was granted to Evstafy Mikhailovich Pushkin in 1585 by Tsar Ivan the Terrible as recognition for his military and diplomatic service.
Alexander Pushkin created numerous literary works during his stays at Boldino, including The Bronze Horseman and Songs of the Western Slavs.
The museum offers guided tours, traditional costume photography sessions, and carriage rides through the estate grounds for visitors throughout the year.
During the cholera epidemic of 1830, Pushkin's three-month confinement at Boldino resulted in an extraordinarily productive period of writing known as Boldino autumn.
