The 25-meter brick tower features a helmet-shaped roof, a round observation deck, and combines German romantic style with local architectural elements.
Otto Walter Kuckuck designed this water supply structure in 1900 when the city, formerly known as Rauschen, expanded as a resort destination.
The tower stands as a central monument in the upper section of Svetlogorsk, near a plaza that functions similarly to traditional city halls.
Visitors can spot the sundial installed in 1978 on the tower's exterior, designed by artist and sculptor Nikolai Frolov.
This red brick structure served both as a water supply facility and a medical center offering sea water treatments and carbon dioxide baths.
