The building features balconies with polka dots and contains 45 corridor rooms, five apartments, a heated pool, and a sauna for student use.

The organization emerged in 1890 when the original Scanian Nation divided into five separate entities to better serve different regional student groups.

Members participate in annual events including Snapphanefesten ball in February and Tegelbruket celebration at the end of April with neighboring student organizations.

Located five minutes from the university and ten minutes from the city center, the nation provides student-priced meals, accommodation, and recreational facilities.

The organization adopted the Snapphane, a 17th-century Scanian partisan figure, as its symbol and incorporates this name into many of its activities.
