Architects Thorsten Roos and Bror Thornberg completed the construction of Sankta Maria kyrka in 1963, establishing a new religious center in Malmö.
The interior walls display a large mosaic depicting Jesus calming the storm, while seven square windows represent the seven days of creation.
The church basement offers free shower facilities Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 12 PM, and law students provide legal advice every Tuesday morning.
Café Maria and Maria klädförråd operate within the church, distributing donated clothes and shoes to community members requiring assistance.
