Tors fiske, Bronze fountain sculpture at Mariatorget, Stockholm.
The fountain depicts Thor fighting the Midgard Serpent, featuring two prehistoric water-spouting lizards flanking the central mythological figure.
Created by Swedish artist Anders Wissler in 1903, the fountain was a gift from JP Holmberg during a period of urban art development.
The sculpture represents Nordic mythology through its detailed portrayal of Thor raising his hammer Mjolnir to destroy the serpent.
Located in the center of Mariatorget square, the fountain integrates water effects that complement the design and provide cooling during summer months.
The fountain incorporates Art Nouveau design elements in its marble basin, distinguishing it from traditional fountain structures of the early 1900s.
