Manor House Mošovce, Late Baroque manor house in Mošovce, Slovakia
Manor House Mošovce is a two-story rectangular manor house built during the Late Baroque period in Slovakia. The building features grand entrance sections on the ground floor and stands at the edge of an expansive park.
The Révai family built this manor house in the second half of the 18th century after an earlier structure burned down in 1760. The new construction replaced the former aristocratic residence on this site.
The building served as a home for orphaned children after the war and later became a filming location for Slovak television productions. It demonstrates how such a place repeatedly reinvented its purpose for the community.
The manor operates today as a three-star hotel with 29 rooms including deluxe accommodations and conference facilities. A restaurant with vaulted ceilings is housed within the building.
The cellar contains a nine-meter-deep well that now houses a wine bar beneath the ground floor. This hidden space displays ornate ceiling decorations that reflect the elegance of the rooms above.
