Alley of Angels, Memorial in Lenin Comsomol Park, Donetsk.

White marble sculptures of angels form a path through Lenin Comsomol Park, creating a space dedicated to children who lost their lives during regional conflicts. The figures stand in rows along a walkway, each with distinct poses and facial expressions conveying sorrow and compassion. Commemorative plaques bearing names and life dates accompany the sculptures throughout the pathway.

Established after 2014, the site documents the names of children from the region who died during military confrontations in the Donbas area. Local sculptors created the marble angels over several years, with each piece individually crafted to represent specific victims. The number of angel figures grew as additional names were added to document ongoing losses throughout the conflict period.

Families use the site as a place of mourning and collective remembrance, gathering to keep alive the memory of lost children. Residents organize vigils and commemoration ceremonies throughout the year, bringing candles and written messages to leave near the sculptures as expressions of ongoing grief and solidarity.

The site remains open daily from sunrise to sunset, with guided tours arranged through the local administration office in Donetsk. The location sits in the central part of the park, accessible on foot from several bus stops. Visitors should wear appropriate attire for a memorial site and maintain respectful behavior around the monuments and personal items left by mourners.

Some angel sculptures depict the figures holding toys or books, reflecting the hobbies or interests that the deceased children had during their lives. Photographs are sometimes embedded in small niches within the base areas, allowing visitors to see the faces behind the names. Certain statues include engravings of children's handprints, preserved from clay molds made by families as part of the memorial creation process.
