Forged Figures Park

Forged Figures Park is a green space in Donetsk displaying hundreds of metal sculptures, including zodiac signs, fairy tale characters, and intricate pavilions. The works are organized across themed sections that create a diverse collection of forged pieces in varying sizes and styles.

The park was established in 2001 starting with a small collection of ten metal sculptures. In 2010, Donetsk became the first post-Soviet city to join the Ring of European Cities with Iron Works.

The park displays works by local blacksmiths who blend traditional forging techniques with contemporary designs. Visitors can observe how the metal figures become part of everyday public life and reflect different aspects of local identity.

The park is located near Donetsk City Council and is easily accessible on foot. There are designated areas for photography and family gatherings, so plan time to explore and spend moments in different sections.

The collection includes a metal palm tree forged by local blacksmiths following the tradition of an award-winning 1900 Paris Exhibition piece created by Alexei Mertsalov. This sculpture connects early 20th-century history with the park's contemporary art scene.
