Millennium Place

Millennium Place is a 15-story residential complex in downtown Boston with 256 units arranged in an L-shaped footprint along Washington Street. The beige brick facade features distinctive wedge-shaped bay windows, while ground-level retail spaces line the street.

The complex was completed in 2013 and became the fastest-selling new residential property in Boston's real estate market at that time. The project revitalized an underdeveloped site in a central downtown location.

The building connects modern residential design with the visual language of downtown Boston's historic loft buildings that surround it. This connection makes it feel like a natural part of the urban streetscape rather than something entirely new.

Street-level retail is easily accessible and well connected to the surrounding neighborhood. Parking is primarily underground and reserved for residents, so the building is best viewed from the public street.

At the heart of the L-shaped structure sits a landscaped courtyard that functions as a green theater displaying different seasonal plantings. This hidden interior space provides residents and visitors with a quiet refuge in the middle of the city.
