Van Wormer Hall, Library building at University Circle, Cincinnati, US.
Van Wormer Hall features a 30-foot glass dome that illuminates the interior spaces with natural light through multiple LCD lights that change colors.
The building, designed by Samuel Hannaford in 1899, served as the University of Cincinnati's first library with an initial collection of 40,000 volumes.
The building's dome was reconstructed using architectural plans from St. Peter's Cathedral in Vatican City, incorporating classical design elements.
Located at 2614 University Circle, Van Wormer Hall now houses the offices of the Senior Vice President and Provost for Baccalaureate and Graduate Education.
The construction received funding through 1,000 shares of Cincinnati Street Railway Company stock, valued at $50,000 in 1898.
