Sudsy Malone's Rock 'n Roll Laundry & Bar

Sudsy Malone's was a music club in the Corryville area that combined a laundromat with a bar and stage space. The room featured washing machines along the back wall and held roughly 400 people for live performances.

The club opened in 1986 and operated as a music venue for more than two decades before closing in 2008. During this time it presented both international artists and local acts from the Cincinnati scene.

The place became a gathering point for the local indie and punk community, where musicians and fans connected in a casual setting. Its location near the university made it a hub for emerging artists and experimental performances.

The relatively compact size created an intimate setting where visitors felt close to the music and could move about freely. The mixing of laundry facilities and concert space meant guests needed to navigate the combined functions thoughtfully.

The combination of laundry service and live music was an unusual concept that gave the place character and set it apart from typical clubs. Visitors could actually wash their clothes while watching musicians perform.
