Washington's Headquarters State Historic Site, Military headquarters in Newburgh, United States

The Hasbrouck House, a fieldstone farmhouse built in 1750, stands on a hill overlooking the Hudson River in Orange County, New York.

General George Washington established his command post at this location from April 1782 to August 1783, making it his longest-serving headquarters during the Revolutionary War.

The museum displays over 1,300 artifacts related to the Revolutionary War period, including military equipment, domestic items, and personal belongings of the Washington family.

The historic site provides guided tours of the house, access to museum exhibits, and educational programs focusing on Revolutionary War history throughout the year.

This location became the first publicly owned historic site in the United States when New York State purchased it for preservation in 1850.
