The Wicomico Youth and Civic Center is a multi-purpose building in Salisbury with two event halls of different sizes and several meeting rooms. The larger hall accommodates various event formats, while the smaller hall can be used flexibly for smaller gatherings.
The facility opened in 1980 and replaced an older auditorium from 1950 that was destroyed by fire in 1977. The current building underwent major renovations between 2007 and 2017.
The center serves as a gathering place for the Delmarva Peninsula, where people come together for concerts, sports events, graduations, and community meetings. It functions as a meeting point for many different occasions, from local gatherings to large public celebrations.
The facility offers ample parking, making it convenient for visitors to arrive by car. You can plan your arrival time based on the type of event, as traffic and parking availability vary depending on the occasion.
Until 2016, the facility operated under a restriction that prohibited the sale of alcoholic beverages on the premises. This regulation was part of the property agreement and was not lifted until that year.
