Old Drawyers Church, Presbyterian church building in Odessa, United States

Old Drawyers Church is a brick building in Georgian style located along U.S. Route 13, featuring a symmetrical five-bay facade with a gable roof and a Georgian doorway. The structure displays classical architectural details typical of early American religious buildings.

The congregation was established by Dutch and Swedish settlers during the early colonial period, with Scottish immigrants later constructing the building between 1769 and 1773. This structure has shaped the community since its creation.

The interior shows a wooden soundingboard hanging above an open pulpit, revealing how worship spaces were organized in colonial times. This arrangement is a rare surviving example of how Presbyterian congregations gathered for services.

The building is visible from the roadside and allows visitors to view its Georgian architectural features. Checking available documentation beforehand can enhance understanding of its design.

The building was designed by architects Duncan Beard and Robert May and sits on an expansive plot of land. It received National Register of Historic Places status in 1973.
