Niagara Cave, Show cave in Fillmore County, Minnesota, US.

Niagara Cave is a show cave in Fillmore County, Minnesota, with underground passages running through different rock layers, an underground stream, and deep canyons. Mineral deposits line the walls where mineral-rich water has shaped the stone over time.

The cave was discovered by chance in 1924 when a farmer searching for missing pigs found the entrance. Opening to the public in 1934, it gradually became recognized as a significant geological site.

A small underground chapel inside the cave hosts wedding ceremonies, bringing together the natural setting and moments of personal importance. This use shows how visitors connect geological spaces with meaningful life events.

Guided tours take visitors through roughly one mile of cave passages, including about 275 stairs to climb. The underground temperature stays constantly cool year-round, so bringing a light jacket helps visitors stay comfortable.

One striking feature is the underground waterfall dropping about 60 feet through limestone, a result of millions of years of erosion by water. This waterfall is uncommon in caves and catches the attention of most visitors exploring the passages.
