The four-story Converse Hall features a U-shaped structure with marble exterior walls, numerous rectangular windows, and finials adorning the gable ends.
Built in 1895 by the Wilson Brothers architecture firm of Philadelphia, Converse Hall served as military barracks during both World Wars.
The residence hall promotes mixed-gender floors and participates in the Wellness Environment initiative focusing on student health and community development.
Located at 75 Colchester Avenue, the building accommodates 164 students in single and double rooms with communal bathrooms and a basement kitchen.
This collegiate Gothic structure stands as one of Vermont's rare Chateauesque buildings, constructed with Rutland marble and recognized in the National Register of Historic Places.
