The construction project transformed a vacant tire dumping ground into a religious center through fundraising efforts that began in 2003.
The mosque provides separate prayer spaces for men and women, accommodating up to 700 worshippers in its 5,000-square-foot main hall.
The facility includes a commercial kitchen in the basement, guest rooms on the middle floor, and a library with offices on the top level.
Rich Olaya of Olaya Studio incorporated traditional Islamic architectural elements into the $7 million structure, completed in October 2018.
