The Storm King Wall stretches across the landscape of Storm King Art Center, constructed entirely from local fieldstone and following the natural contours of the land.
Artist Andy Goldsworthy completed this permanent installation in 1997, marking a new direction for outdoor sculpture integration within the Storm King Art Center collection.
The wall represents a connection between architectural form and natural elements, demonstrating the evolution of environmental art in American outdoor sculpture parks.
Visitors can walk alongside the extensive stone structure from Wednesday through Monday between 10 AM and 4:30 PM, with the last entry at 3 PM.
The fieldstone wall measures 2,278 feet in length and weaves through woods and water, creating different visual patterns as seasons change throughout the year.
