The Statue of Liberty Museum spreads across 26,000 square feet with glass facades and wooden elements surrounded by gardens near the monument.
The museum opened in May 2019 as part of a 70 million dollar project by the National Park Service and Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation.
The exhibition galleries present artifacts, photographs, and multimedia displays detailing the construction process supervised by Frederic-Auguste Bartholdi and Alexandre-Gustave Eiffel.
The museum entrance is included with ferry tickets from Battery Park, offering guided audio tours in 12 languages with visits lasting 45 minutes.
The Inspiration Gallery contains an original model of Lady Liberty's face and floor-to-ceiling windows providing views of New York Harbor.
