Red Arrow Diner, American restaurant in downtown Manchester, US.
Red Arrow Diner is an American diner on Lowell Street in downtown Manchester, New Hampshire, open around the clock every day of the year. It serves classic diner food including breakfast dishes, handmade burgers, and desserts made on site.
The diner opened in 1922 as the first location of what would become a small chain across New Hampshire. It has been running continuously since then, making it one of the oldest operating diners in the state.
During presidential primary seasons, candidates stop in to talk with locals over coffee and a plate of food, just like any other customer. These visits happen at the counter or in the booths, without any formality.
Parking is available directly in front of the building, which makes it easy to stop by without planning ahead. Since the diner never closes, visiting during off-peak hours is a good way to find a seat without waiting.
With every cup of coffee sold, the diner sends five cents to the New Hampshire Food Bank. This happens quietly through daily sales, without any special campaign or extra step from customers.
