Ostpreußen-Kaserne, Military barracks in Bad Kissingen, Germany.
Ostpreußen-Kaserne is a military compound in Bad Kissingen with residential blocks and administrative buildings arranged symmetrically around a central parade ground. The multi-story structures follow a standardized layout with maintenance and training facilities distributed across the entire site.
The complex was built from 1936 to 1937 and initially housed motorcycle troops. It later served as a base for units of the 2nd Panzer Division until the end of World War II.
The architectural design reflects the Third Reich military standards while incorporating regional building elements common to northern Bavaria.
The site is easily accessible and clearly structured with distinct pathways between building clusters. Visitors should be aware that the facility may remain partially in military use and not all areas are freely accessible.
After World War II, the facility was taken over by American forces and renamed Daley Barracks. This renaming and preservation of original structures document the post-war transformation of the site.
