Schloss Schulzendorf

Schloss Schulzendorf is a manor house built with Renaissance architectural elements, distinguished by its central tower and glass-roofed winter garden. The structure combines residential spaces with distinctive design features that shape its appearance throughout.

The manor house was built in 1889 as a residence for Jewish businessman Moritz Israel. It later experienced forced confiscation and changed hands several times throughout subsequent decades.

The castle grounds include a church constructed by Baron von der Recke, adding religious significance to this nineteenth-century architectural ensemble.

The estate sits in the center of Schulzendorf village, roughly 20 kilometers southeast of Berlin. The location is easily accessible and the building serves as a visible landmark in the local area.

The building served as a filming location for a well-known television series, representing an American orphanage in that production. This unexpected use connected the site to international entertainment productions.
