Victoria Park spans 7.7 hectares with ornamental flower beds, grassy areas, mature trees, tennis courts, and a children's playground area.
The Cardiff Corporation purchased the land known as Ely Common in 1889 and transformed half of the 40 acres into Victoria Park by 1897.
The park received restoration funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund in 1995, maintaining its Victorian design elements and Grade 2 listed status.
The grounds remain open from 7:30 AM until 30 minutes before sunset, with public toilets and baby changing facilities near the playground.
A sculpture commemorates Billy the Seal, who lived in the park's lake from 1912 to 1939 and received food from local residents.
