Almonry Museum and Heritage Centre

The Almonry Museum occupies a stone and timber-framed building featuring twelve exhibition rooms displaying artifacts from different historical periods of Evesham.

The structure dates back to the 14th century when it served as the residence for the almoner of Evesham Abbey, who distributed food and money to people in need.

The museum exhibits include medieval manuscripts, Saxon archaeological findings, agricultural tools, and medical instruments that represent the evolution of local life.

Located at Abbey Gate in Evesham, the museum opens Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM and contains a tourist information center.

The museum houses an ornately carved 14th-century chair that belonged to the Abbot of Evesham, alongside a cannon gifted by Queen Victoria.
