Red House, House museum in Aldeburgh, England.

The Red House contains original furnishings, musical instruments, artworks, and personal items that belonged to composer Benjamin Britten and tenor Peter Pears.

Benjamin Britten and Peter Pears acquired this Grade II listed building in 1957, transforming it into a creative sanctuary for musical composition and performance.

The museum preserves an extensive archive of musical manuscripts, correspondence, photographs, and recordings that document the significant contributions to 20th-century classical music.

Visitors can explore the house, library, composition studio, and gardens from Thursday to Sunday between 10:30 AM and 3:30 PM, with tickets priced at £11.

The original composition studio remains exactly as Britten left it, with his piano, desk, and composition materials still in their original positions.
