Ilkley Town Hall

Ilkley Town Hall is a Victorian civic building distinguished by its Ionic columns, mullioned windows, and steeply pitched slate roofs in local stone. Inside, it contains council chambers, a visitor information center, and various meeting spaces for community use.

Construction began with a foundation stone in 1906, though building delays and a fatal accident during construction pushed the opening to April 1908. This challenging early history marked an important moment in shaping the town's development.

The King's Hall functions as the community's main cultural venue, where theatrical productions, concerts, and the annual Wharfedale Music Festival draw residents and visitors throughout the year. This role has made it central to the town's social and artistic calendar.
