Kidderminster Town Hall, Grade II listed town hall in Kidderminster, England.
Kidderminster Town Hall is a neoclassical complex featuring a corn exchange with three bays and a bell tower on Vicar Street. The structure displays Victorian architectural details that mark it as a significant civic building.
Member of Parliament Robert Lowe initiated the building of the town hall in 1855 to replace an older civic structure on High Street. This project reflected Kidderminster's growing importance and prosperity during the 19th century.
The organ built by William Hill & Sons in 1855 remains at the heart of the building and continues to support musical performances today.
The building is currently undergoing comprehensive renovation to improve accessibility and restore historical features. It is worth checking in advance which areas are accessible and whether any guided tours are available.
A rare portrait of King Charles I painted by Anthony van Dyck hangs within the building complex, adding notable artistic value. This painting is a precious example of the art collection housed here that visitors often miss.
