Holy Trinity Church, Canning Town, Anglican church in Canning Town, England.
Holy Trinity Church is an Anglican church located in Canning Town, in the eastern part of London. The building incorporates traditional English ecclesiastical architecture with characteristic Victorian design features.
The church originated from the Plaistow and Victoria Docks Mission, completing its structure in 1867. It experienced significant damage during World War II bombing raids and was subsequently demolished.
The parish of Holy Trinity served as a religious center for the expanding community of Hallsville, integrating parts of St Mary's and All Saints congregations.
The site is no longer accessible as the church has been demolished and exists only as a historical memory. Visitors interested in the local past can explore its history through local archives or museum displays about the area.
Compensation funds from wartime damage were used to build St Erkenwald's Church in Barking, which opened in 1954. This meant a neighboring community received a new religious center directly connected to the fate of this earlier church.
