London Gas Museum

The London Gas Museum occupied a 1905 industrial building on Twelvetrees Crescent and displayed machines, tools, and items from the gas energy industry. The exhibitions documented technical developments and their impact on London's infrastructure from the late 19th century onward.

The museum grew from collections of the Gas Light and Coke Company and Brentford Gas Company, which preserved records going back to 1893. It documented the evolution of London's gas supply over more than a century.
