Skały Mirowskie

Skały Mirowskie is a limestone formation that stretches over one kilometer along a hiking trail and features a varied landscape with heights ranging from 5 to 30 meters. The formations consist of different rock masses, caves, and natural passages that hikers and climbers can explore.

The formation served as a transport passage for goods between the Kingdom of Bohemia and Poland during the 17th century, as deep caves and large boulders provided natural routes. This function shows how natural formations shaped important trade paths in the past.

The name Mirów references the region's local heritage, and visitors can observe the varied layers of limestone that shape the landscape here. The rock walls tell a story through their form and structure, revealing the geological past of this area.

The site offers various hiking and climbing routes for different skill levels, allowing visitors to choose between simple and demanding paths. It is advisable to wear sturdy footwear and to walk the trails carefully during wet or bad weather conditions.

Prehistoric remains were discovered in the Stajnia Cave within the formation, providing insights into the lives of early inhabitants of the region. These archaeological finds make the site an important record of human settlement in this area.
