Fence of Voronikhin Garden, Architectural landmark in Tsentralny District, Russia.

The Fence of Voronikhin Garden is an iron structure with decorative patterns and stone supports that surrounds a green area next to Kazan Cathedral. The fence is made of cast iron elements joined together with classical pillars to form a complete boundary.

The fence was built in 1811 as Kazan Cathedral neared completion, under the direction of architect Andrey Voronikhin. It was created as part of a larger architectural development that shaped the character of the city center.

The fence displays design elements from the Russian Empire period, with classical patterns that shaped how Saint Petersburg looked in the early 1800s. The ornaments and details show the craft techniques that were common in the city at that time.

The fence is located near Kazanskaya Street in the central district and is easy to reach on foot when visiting the cathedral. The site is in the city center, so it is accessible during daylight hours and best seen when you can view the details clearly.

The iron parts of the fence keep their original decorative patterns from more than 200 years ago and show how cast iron work was done in the city. Many visitors overlook this smaller work even though it stands beside one of the city's most famous buildings.
