The Panyushev Revenue House consists of three connected buildings featuring ornate facades, decorative cornices, and characteristic balconies near Arbat Street. Commercial spaces occupy the ground floors while residential apartments fill the upper levels, forming a cohesive architectural unit.

The complex was built between 1910 and 1912 by merchant Vasily Petrovich Panyushev and earned the nickname 'anthill' due to its densely constructed structure. This construction reflected Moscow's rapid urban growth during that period.

The building housed artists, musicians, and writers who made it their home and shaped the character of the neighborhood. These residents turned the place into a center where creative people gathered and worked.
