Skeppsbron 44

Skeppsbron 44 is a six-story building on the waterfront in Stockholm with offices on upper floors and the Zum Franziskaner beer hall at street level. The building features a red stucco facade, a tent roof covered with glazed tiles, and a copper sphere supported by four dolphins that sits atop the structure.

The building was completed in 1910 and replaced an earlier structure from 1622 that stood at the same waterfront location. Its steel skeleton construction represented modern building techniques of that era and influenced how new structures were built in Stockholm.

The interior displays Art Nouveau design details, including Venetian windows and wall paintings by Georg Pauli in the staircase area that reflect the building's artistic heritage.

The building sits in a central location with easy access to public transportation and sits directly on the waterfront. Its combination of office and dining spaces makes it a convenient spot to visit when exploring the area.
