賽馬會創意藝術中心, Arts center in Shek Kip Mei, Hong Kong, China
The Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre is a nine-story building in Shek Kip Mei containing 131 studio units, two exhibition galleries, and a central courtyard. The spaces are designed to accommodate various art forms and public creative activities.
The building was originally constructed in 1977 as an industrial factory complex and underwent extensive renovation. It reopened in 2008 as a dedicated arts center.
The center houses artists working in painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, and film production. You can often see their work displayed in galleries and watch creative processes happening in open studios throughout the building.
The center is located in an accessible area and has multiple elevators for easy movement between floors. Check opening hours before visiting and use the contact information to confirm times or ask about special events.
Inside the complex is a Black Box Theatre with flexible stage configurations and modular technical systems. This adaptability allows it to host different types of performances and experimental installations.
