Montée de Guise, Residential complex in Dijon, France

The Montée de Guise encompasses 282 residential units and offices, arranged around a central staircase that extends from Rue Berbisey in Dijon.

The complex stands on the site of former military walls near the 16th-century Guise bastion, marking a transition from defensive structures to modern urban development.

The buildings incorporate medieval architectural elements of old Dijon, including gabled facades, Saint Andrew's crosses, and polychrome tiled roofs.

The development includes an underground municipal parking facility and features glass bow windows facing the railway tracks for enhanced natural lighting.

Spanish architect Manuel Núñez Yanowsky designed this postmodern complex in 1987, completing the main structure in 1993 with final additions in 1999.
