Amazona Zoo, Animal park in Cromer, England
Amazona Zoo is an animal park along the Norfolk coast with around 200 South American creatures including jaguars, monkeys, snakes, flamingos, and tapirs. The grounds feature different sections where each animal group has space to move around naturally.
The Cabbell-Manners family created this specialized center to help people in Norfolk learn about tropical animals from South America. Over time it became a place focused on showing these creatures and protecting their species.
The educational Yurt shares knowledge about South American habitats and conservation through daily talks and displays that visitors can watch. You can see how these environments work and why they matter for the animals living there.
The grounds are easy to walk around with clear paths between the enclosures and good signage throughout. Visiting on quieter weekdays often gives you better views of the animals since they are more active when it is less crowded.
The Feline Forest displays rare South American wild cats like jaguarundis, pumas, and ocelots in naturalistic settings. These smaller predators are hard to spot and many visitors pass by without noticing this special section.
