Inverness Town House, Municipal heritage building in High Street, Inverness, Scotland.
The Inverness Town House features a symmetrical facade with seven bays, Gothic architectural elements, and distinctive tourelles alongside decorative stone carvings.
The current Town House, completed in 1882, replaced an earlier civic building from 1708 and was funded partially by a £5,000 bequest from Duncan Grant.
The building contains stained glass windows designed by J.H. Stewart in 1898 to commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
The Highland Council maintains offices in this Category A listed building, which remains a central administrative structure in Inverness city center.
In 1921, the Town House became the location of the first British Cabinet meeting held outside London, leading to the creation of the Inverness Formula.
