Peel House, Former police training facility in Pimlico, London, England
Peel House is a building made of red brick with stone detailing located on Regency Street in Westminster, London. The structure spans multiple floors with large windows arranged in a balanced, symmetrical pattern across its facade.
The building was constructed in 1907 to serve as the Metropolitan Police's main training school and operated in this role until closing in 1968. Following its closure, the structure was transformed for residential use.
The structure represents early 20th-century institutional architecture and stands as a reminder of London's law enforcement training heritage in Westminster.
The building today contains around 70 residential apartments managed by a housing association for affordable living. Since this is now private residential space, check access conditions before visiting as it may not be open to the general public.
The building functions as affordable housing linked to the One Hyde Park residential complex, even though it sits several kilometers away from the main development in Knightsbridge. This unusual arrangement demonstrates how housing projects can extend across significant distances.
