Marsham Court, Art Deco apartment building in Victoria, City of Westminster, England

The eight-story Marsham Court features geometric shapes and decorative elements characteristic of 1930s Art Deco architecture along Marsham Street.

Built in 1937 on the former Westminster Brewery site, Marsham Court housed notable residents including MI6 Director Maurice Oldfield from early 1970s until 1981.

The building contained 147 furnished apartments with butler service, an in-house restaurant, and a cocktail bar frequented by politicians and civil servants.

Each apartment includes a butler cupboard near the front door, allowing residents to place clothes and shoes for overnight cleaning service.

A Second World War memo in the building records instructed residents to make their own beds due to staff shortages during wartime.
