The Combined Court Centre features alternating bands of brown brick and includes ten courtrooms equipped for criminal and civil proceedings.
The court building replaced the former judicial facilities at North Street's Old Town Hall, opening in 1990 after construction costs of £9.2 million.
The court facilities reflect the evolution of British legal proceedings, incorporating both Crown Court criminal cases and County Court civil matters under one roof.
Visitors must proceed through security checks, with counter services available by appointment from Monday to Friday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
The building stands on the former Tomkys Yard site, featuring a central atrium accessed through a steel-framed canopy and asymmetrical main frontage.
